Posted on Mar 17, 2024I've noticed that the drawers have a slow-close mechanism, but how do I adjust it?
Can I make the drawers close faster or slower if needed?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Mar 19, 2024The slow-close mechanism on the MALSJÖ sideboard drawers can be adjusted. To make the drawers close faster or slower:
1. Open the drawer fully.
2. Locate the small adjustment screw on the side of the drawer slide mechanism.
3. Use a screwdriver to turn the screw clockwise to increase the closing speed, or counterclockwise to decrease the closing speed.
4. Test the drawer and adjust the screw until you achieve the desired closing speed.
Remember to make only small adjustments at a time. Avoid overtightening the screw, as this could damage the mechanism. With some minor tweaks, you can customize the drawer closing to your preference

Posted on Sep 16, 2022I'm interested in purchasing the MALSJÖ sideboard, but I have a question about the glass-door cabinet. Are there any additional features or mechanisms to prevent breakage or damage of the glasses and other items stored inside? For example, are there any soft pads or bumpers that would absorb any accidental impacts or shocks?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Sep 18, 2022The MALSJÖ sideboard has several features designed to protect the contents of the glass-door cabinet:
The doors are equipped with integrated dampers that allow them to close slowly, silently, and softly. This helps prevent any sudden impacts or slamming that could potentially damage the contents.
Additionally, the shelves inside the glass-door cabinet have a raised edge around the perimeter. This helps keep items in place and prevents them from accidentally sliding or falling off the shelves.
While there are no additional soft pads or bumpers, the overall design and construction of the cabinet is focused on providing a safe and secure storage solution for delicate items like glassware
