I have a Tonstad cabinet and I'm having trouble getting the sliding doors to slide smoothly. They seem stuck or jammed. Is there something I can do to lubricate them or is it a sign of wear?

The sliding doors on the TONSTAD cabinet may be sticking or jamming due to a few possible reasons:

1. Buildup of dust or debris in the track: Over time, small particles can accumulate in the track, causing the doors to stick. Try gently cleaning the track with a soft cloth to remove any buildup.

2. Misalignment of the doors: If the doors are not properly aligned in the track, they may bind and not slide smoothly. Check that the doors are positioned correctly and adjust them if needed.

3. Worn rollers: The rollers that the doors slide on may become worn over time, causing increased friction. You can try lubricating the rollers with a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to help them move more freely.

If cleaning the track and lubricating the rollers does not resolve the issue, there may be a more significant problem with the door mechanism. In that case, you may need to contact IKEA for further assistance or consider replacing the cabinet

To help loosen the stuck sliding doors on your TONSTAD cabinet, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

First, check that the doors are properly aligned in the tracks. Gently pull the doors out and inspect the rollers - make sure they are moving freely and not obstructed. You can try cleaning the tracks with a soft cloth to remove any dust or debris.

If the doors still feel stuck, you can try applying a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the rollers and tracks. Avoid using oil-based lubricants as they can attract more dust and dirt over time. Spray a little lubricant and then open and close the doors a few times to work it in.

If the doors still won't slide smoothly, there may be an issue with the suspension system. You may need to adjust the door hangers or replace any worn parts. Refer to the assembly instructions or contact IKEA customer service for further guidance on servicing the sliding mechanism.

With a little troubleshooting, you should be able to get those doors moving freely again. Let me know if you have any other questions
