Posted on Mar 26, 2024I've assembled the Bestå storage combination, but I'm having trouble closing one of the drawers. The soft-closing function seems to be malfunctioning. What can I do to fix this issue?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Mar 28, 2024To fix the issue with the soft-closing drawer, first check if the drawer is properly aligned and installed. Ensure that the drawer slides are securely attached to the cabinet frame and the drawer is sliding smoothly along the tracks.
If the alignment is correct, the issue may be with the soft-closing mechanism. Try lubricating the drawer slides and the soft-closing mechanism with a silicone-based lubricant. This can help restore the smooth operation of the soft-closing function.
If the problem persists, the soft-closing mechanism may be damaged and need to be replaced. You can contact IKEA customer service to obtain a replacement part and follow the instructions to install the new soft-closing mechanism
