Posted on Apr 01, 2024I'd like to install the BESTÅ storage combination with doors in a room that has uneven flooring. The instructions mention adjustable feet, but how do I adjust them? Are there any specific steps or tools required for this process?

Answered on Apr 03, 2024To adjust the feet on the BESTÅ storage combination with doors for uneven flooring, follow these steps:
1. Locate the adjustable feet on the bottom of the unit. There should be 4 feet, one at each corner.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, turn the feet clockwise to extend them and counterclockwise to retract them.
3. Adjust each foot as needed to level the unit and compensate for any unevenness in the floor.
4. Check that the unit is level from side to side and front to back. Make additional adjustments to the feet as necessary until the unit is stable and level.
No special tools are required beyond a standard Phillips screwdriver. Take your time and adjust each foot incrementally until the BESTÅ storage combination is steady and even on the floor

Posted on May 16, 2023I have the BESTÅ storage combination and I'm having trouble with the doors not staying closed. They keep popping open slightly, even when they're pushed shut. Is there a way to adjust or fix this issue?

Answered on May 18, 2023The issue you're experiencing with the doors on your BESTÅ storage combination not staying closed is likely due to the door hinges needing some adjustment. Here are the steps to fix this:
1. First, check that the doors are properly aligned. The hinges on the BESTÅ allow you to adjust the doors horizontally and vertically.
2. Using a screwdriver, gently loosen the screws on the hinges. This will allow you to shift the door position slightly.
3. Close the door and check the alignment. Make small adjustments as needed until the door sits flush and closes properly.
4. Once the door is aligned, tighten the hinge screws back up to secure the adjustment.
If the doors still don't stay closed after adjusting the hinges, you may need to check that the hinges themselves are functioning properly. The soft-closing mechanism could be worn out and need replacement. Contact IKEA for further assistance if the issue persists

Posted on Apr 22, 2023I've assembled the Bestå storage combination and everything seems to be working fine, except for one issue. The doors are slightly misaligned and don't close properly. How can I adjust the hinges to get a proper fit?

Answered on Sep 21, 2022To fix the issue with the soft-close hinges on your BESTÅ storage combination, you can try the following adjustments:
1. Check the hinge settings: Locate the adjustment screws on the hinges and ensure they are tightened properly. You may need to adjust the screws slightly to fine-tune the door alignment and soft-close function.
2. Adjust the hinge tension: There is a small screw or lever on the hinges that controls the tension of the soft-close mechanism. Try adjusting this screw/lever to increase or decrease the tension as needed to achieve the desired soft-close action.
3. Clean the hinges: Over time, the soft-close mechanism can become obstructed by dust or debris. Try cleaning the hinges with a soft cloth to remove any buildup that may be interfering with the smooth operation.
4. Replace the hinges: If the adjustments don't resolve the issue, the hinges may need to be replaced. Contact IKEA or a qualified technician to obtain replacement hinges and have them properly installed
