Posted on Jul 04, 2023I'm having trouble assembling the BESTÅ storage combination. Specifically, I'm struggling to attach the doors to the frame. Could you provide more detailed instructions or a video tutorial on how to do this correctly?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jul 06, 2023To attach the doors to the BESTÅ storage frame, follow these steps:
1. Ensure all the frame components are properly assembled and secured in place.
2. Locate the hinges that came with the doors. There should be two hinges per door.
3. Attach one hinge to the top corner of the door, making sure it is aligned properly. Secure it in place using the screws provided.
4. Attach the second hinge to the bottom corner of the door, again ensuring proper alignment.
5. With the hinges attached to the door, position the door on the frame, aligning the hinges with the corresponding mounting plates.
6. Gently press the door into place, allowing the hinges to clip onto the mounting plates.
7. Once the door is attached, you can adjust the hinges as needed to ensure the door opens and closes smoothly.
If you're still having trouble, I recommend referring to the instruction manual or contacting IKEA customer service for further assistance

Posted on Nov 30, 2022I just put together my Besta storage combination and everything seems to be working fine, except for one issue. The doors don't quite align properly when they're closed, there's a small gap between them. Is this normal or is it something I did wrong during assembly?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Dec 02, 2022The slight gap between the doors when closed is likely normal and not an assembly issue. BESTÅ storage combinations are designed with adjustable hinges that allow you to fine-tune the door alignment after assembly. Here are the steps to adjust the doors:
1. Locate the small screws on the hinges of the doors that don't align properly.
2. Using a screwdriver, gently turn the screws clockwise or counterclockwise to shift the door horizontally or vertically until the gaps are minimized and the doors are aligned.
3. Test the door movement and repeat the adjustment as needed until you achieve the desired alignment.
This adjustment process is normal and expected for BESTÅ units to ensure a proper fit and finish after assembly. With a little fine-tuning, you should be able to get the doors aligned seamlessly
