Posted on Mar 06, 2024I have a BESTÅ storage combination with doors and drawers, but the drawer runners are getting loose. How can I tighten them?
Are there any screws or clips that need to be adjusted?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Mar 08, 2024To tighten the drawer runners on your BESTÅ storage combination, you can try the following steps:
1. First, fully extend the drawer out to access the back of the runner.
2. Locate the small screws that attach the drawer runner to the cabinet frame. These are typically located at the back of the runner.
3. Using a screwdriver, tighten these screws to secure the runner in place. Be careful not to overtighten.
4. If the screws are worn or stripped, you may need to replace them with new screws of the same size.
5. After tightening the screws, test the drawer to ensure it opens and closes smoothly without any looseness.
6. If the issue persists, you can also try adjusting the small plastic clips or levers on the drawer runners that help hold the drawer in place. Gently push these in or out to tighten the fit.
With a few simple adjustments, you should be able to tighten up the drawer runners on your BESTÅ storage unit

Posted on Jul 13, 2023I'm having some trouble with the drawers. They feel a bit wobbly when I open them and sometimes they don't close properly.
Is there any way to adjust or tighten the drawer slides?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jul 15, 2023To adjust the drawers and tighten the drawer slides, follow these steps:
1. First, fully open the drawer you're having issues with.
2. Locate the small plastic levers or screws on the drawer slides. These are used to adjust the positioning of the drawer.
3. Try adjusting the levers or screws slightly to the left or right to center the drawer and eliminate any wobble.
4. You can also try tightening the screws that attach the drawer slides to the cabinet frame. This will help stabilize the drawer.
5. Finally, ensure the cabinet is level on the floor. Adjusting the leveling feet can help improve the drawer alignment and operation.
Make small adjustments and test the drawer after each change until you achieve a smooth, secure drawer operation

Posted on Oct 12, 2022I'm having trouble with the drawer not closing properly. The door seems to be obstructing it from fully closing. Is there a way to adjust the hinges or the door to fix this issue?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Oct 14, 2022To fix the issue of the drawer not closing properly due to the door obstructing it, you can try adjusting the hinges on the door. The BESTÅ storage combination has adjustable hinges that allow you to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.
First, locate the hinges on the door and identify the adjustment screws. There are usually screws that allow you to adjust the door's position left/right and up/down. Try loosening the screws slightly and then gently pushing or pulling the door to reposition it. This should create more clearance for the drawer to close fully without obstruction.
Once you've adjusted the door position, tighten the hinge screws back up to secure the door in its new position. Test the drawer again to ensure it can now close properly without any interference from the door
