Posted on Nov 21, 2023I have the Besta storage combination and I'm having trouble getting one of the drawers to slide in properly. It's stuck and won't move even when pulling it out from the side. What could be causing this issue and is there a way to fix it?

Answered on Nov 23, 2023The issue with the stuck drawer is likely due to the drawer runners not being properly aligned or installed correctly. Here are a few steps you can try to fix the problem:
1. First, fully extend the drawer and check if the runners are properly attached to the cabinet frame and the drawer sides. Ensure they are securely in place and not loose.
2. Check if there is any obstruction or debris preventing the drawer from sliding smoothly. Clean the runners and the inside of the cabinet to remove any dirt or obstructions.
3. Adjust the drawer runners if needed. There are small adjustments screws that allow you to fine-tune the positioning of the runners to ensure a smooth, even slide.
4. If the issue persists, the runners may be damaged or worn out. In this case, you'll need to replace the drawer runners. Replacement parts are available through IKEA customer service.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to get the drawer sliding properly again. Let me know if you have any other questions

Posted on May 18, 2023I'm having trouble opening one of the drawers. The push-openers are not working properly and it feels stuck. Are there any troubleshooting steps I can take to fix this issue?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on May 20, 2023To troubleshoot the issue with the stuck drawer, here are a few steps you can try:
1. Check the drawer slides: Ensure the drawer slides are properly aligned and not obstructed. Gently pull the drawer out and inspect the slides for any debris or damage.
2. Adjust the push-openers: The push-openers may have become misaligned. Locate the small screws on the push-openers and try adjusting them slightly to see if that helps the drawer open more smoothly.
3. Lubricate the slides: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the drawer slides. This can help reduce friction and make the drawer easier to open.
4. Check for obstructions: Inspect the inside of the drawer and the cabinet for any obstructions that may be preventing the drawer from opening fully.
5. Adjust the drawer height: If the drawer is still sticking, you can try adjusting the height of the drawer by turning the small screws on the drawer hinges.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact IKEA customer service for further assistance

Posted on Mar 27, 2023I have a Bestå storage combination with doors and drawers, but the doors are not opening smoothly. They seem to be sticking slightly.
Is there anything I can do to lubricate the hinges or is it better to take it to an Ikea store for assistance?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Mar 29, 2023The issue with the doors not opening smoothly is likely due to the hinges needing some adjustment or lubrication. Here are the steps you can try to fix this at home:
1. First, check if the hinges are properly aligned. The adjustable hinges allow you to adjust the doors horizontally and vertically. Use a screwdriver to make small adjustments until the doors are aligned properly.
2. If the alignment is correct, try lubricating the hinges. You can use a silicone-based lubricant or a dry lubricant spray designed for hinges. Apply a small amount to each hinge and work the door back and forth to distribute the lubricant.
3. If the doors are still sticking after adjusting the hinges and lubricating, there may be an issue with the door mechanism itself. In this case, it's best to take the unit to an IKEA store for further assistance from their technicians.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with the doors not opening smoothly without needing to bring the entire unit to the store
