Answered on Feb 08, 2023To clean the acacia wood in the NÄMMARÖ series, IKEA recommends using a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the wood's finish.
Gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth, then dry it thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher dirt or stains, you can use a mild, pH-neutral wood cleaner. Always test any cleaning product in an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't discolor or damage the wood.
To maintain the wood's durability and appearance, IKEA suggests periodically applying a thin coat of outdoor furniture oil or wood sealant. This helps protect the wood from weathering and UV damage. Reapply the oil or sealant as needed, typically once or twice a year, depending on the climate and usage

Posted on Sep 26, 2022I'm looking to add a matching ottoman to my Nämmarö sofa, but I can't find one in the same light brown stained color. Are there any plans to release a matching ottoman or is there a way to dye or finish the existing ottomans in this color?
