Posted on Sep 21, 2023I would like to know how to clean the rope on the stool, as it appears to be getting dirty and I'm not sure what cleaning products are safe to use. Are there any specific recommendations or guidelines provided by Ikea for maintaining the rope?

Answered on Sep 23, 2023To clean the rope on the SEGERÖN bar stool, IKEA recommends using a mild soap and water solution. Gently wipe down the rope with a damp cloth or sponge, being careful not to submerge the entire stool in water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they could damage the rope material. After cleaning, allow the rope to fully air dry before using the stool again. Regular light cleaning with a soft cloth and mild soap will help maintain the rope's appearance and longevity. IKEA does not recommend any specific cleaning products, but advises against anything too strong or concentrated, which could compromise the integrity of the handwoven rope

Posted on Dec 25, 2022I just got my Segerön bar stool and I'm having trouble with the rope getting loose. How do I tighten it back up without damaging it?
