Posted on Dec 08, 2023I've noticed that the chair cushions have started to come loose from the chairs. How can I tighten them back up?
Is there a way to adjust or replace the elastic straps?

Answered on Dec 10, 2023The elastic straps on the chair cushions are designed to easily secure the cushions to the chairs without the need for tying knots. If the cushions have become loose, you can try the following:
1. Ensure the plastic pins on the ends of the elastic straps are fully inserted through the loops on the cushions. This will help tighten the connection.
2. If the elastic straps have stretched out over time, you can try replacing them. Replacement elastic straps for the SEGERÖN chairs are available from IKEA. Simply detach the old straps and attach the new ones.
3. As a temporary fix, you can also try adjusting the length of the elastic straps. Gently pull on the ends of the straps to tighten them, then secure the plastic pins back through the loops.
If the cushions continue to come loose, you may need to replace the entire cushion set. Spare cushion covers and pads are available from IKEA to refresh the look and ensure a secure fit

Answered on Nov 18, 2022To attach the elastic strap to secure the chair cushion, simply insert the plastic pin through the loop on the cushion cover. There's no need to tie any knots - the plastic pin will hold the strap in place securely. Just make sure to push the pin all the way through the loop until it clicks into position
