I recently purchased the Askholmen table and 4 folding chairs, but when I went to set it up for the first time, I noticed that one of the chair legs was slightly warped. Is this a manufacturing defect or can it be easily fixed?

I've assembled my Askholmen table and chairs, but I noticed that the folding mechanism is quite stiff.
Is there a trick to making it easier to fold up the chairs without having to apply too much force?

To make the folding mechanism on your ASKHOLMEN chairs easier to operate, try the following:

1. Locate the hinges on the chair frames where the folding action occurs. Use a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish to lightly coat the hinge points.

2. Gently work the chair back and forth a few times to help work the lubricant into the hinge. This will reduce friction and make the folding action smoother.

3. If the chairs are still stiff, you can try adjusting the tension on the hinge screws slightly. Loosen them just a bit, being careful not to overtighten or loosen them too much, which could affect the stability.

4. Finally, ensure the chair frames are properly aligned when unfolded. Any misalignment can cause binding in the hinges, making folding more difficult.

With a little lubrication and minor adjustments, the folding mechanism on your ASKHOLMEN chairs should operate much more easily
