To get the drawer slides aligned properly, here are a few tips:

First, ensure all the hardware pieces are installed correctly per the assembly instructions. Double-check that the drawer slide brackets are securely attached to the cabinet frame in the correct positions.

Next, when inserting the drawers, make sure they are level and the slides are fully extended before attempting to connect them. Gently push the drawer straight back, listening for the slides to click into place.

If you're still having trouble, try loosening the screws on the drawer slide brackets slightly. This will allow you to make minor adjustments to the positioning until the drawers glide smoothly. Be careful not to overtighten the screws once the alignment is correct.

Lastly, ensure the cabinet is level and sitting evenly on the floor. Uneven surfaces can cause alignment issues with the drawers. Use shims under the cabinet legs if needed.

With a bit of patience and by following these steps, you should be able to get the drawer slides fitted properly on your TONSTAD sideboard

I purchased the Tonstad sideboard in oak veneer and love its classic design, but I'm having some issues with one of the drawers not closing properly. The soft-closing function doesn't seem to be working as expected. Can you provide any troubleshooting tips or is there a specific adjustment that needs to be made?

To troubleshoot the issue with the drawer not closing properly on your TONSTAD sideboard, here are a few steps you can try:

First, check if the drawer is aligned correctly. Ensure that the drawer is sliding smoothly along the tracks and is not obstructed by any debris or objects. If the drawer seems misaligned, you can try adjusting the drawer guides.

Locate the screws on the drawer guides and gently loosen them. This will allow you to adjust the position of the drawer. Carefully slide the drawer in and out to ensure it's aligned properly, then tighten the screws back in place.

Next, inspect the soft-closing mechanism. There may be an issue with the hinges or the dampers that control the soft-closing function. Try lubricating the hinges with a silicone-based lubricant to ensure smooth operation.

If the soft-closing function still doesn't work, you may need to replace the dampers. Replacement dampers are available from IKEA, and the process is relatively straightforward to install.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with the drawer not closing properly on your TONSTAD sideboard
