Answered on Jul 01, 2023To securely mount the TROFAST wall storage unit, IKEA recommends using wall anchors and screws that are suitable for the type of wall material.
For drywall or plaster walls, use hollow wall anchors and screws that are rated to support the weight of the fully loaded unit. IKEA sells FIXA wall plugs and screws that are designed for this purpose.
Locate the wall studs first, and try to secure the unit to the studs using wood screws if possible. If there are no studs where you need to mount it, use the hollow wall anchors to safely support the weight.
