1. Ensure all the frames are properly assembled and standing upright. The frames need to be sturdy and level before adding the top shelf.
2. Locate the grooves along the top of the side frames. The top shelf is meant to rest and lock into these grooves.
3. Gently place the top shelf into the grooves, making sure it sits flush and level across the entire width of the frames.
4. Once the shelf is in place, you may need to apply a bit of pressure to fully lock it into the grooves. You should hear or feel it click into position.
5. Check that the top shelf is secure and does not shift or fall out. If it still feels loose, you can try adding some wood glue or adhesive to help hold it in place.
