Posted on Jun 16, 2023I love the idea of using this shelf unit as a room divider, but I'm having some issues with the stability. The unit is a bit wobbly when placed in the middle of a room. Do you have any suggestions on how to stabilize it or make it more secure?

Answered on Jun 18, 2023To stabilize the KALLAX shelf unit and make it more secure when used as a room divider, I would recommend the following:
- Attach the unit to the wall using the wall anchoring kit provided. This will help prevent the unit from tipping over.
- Place the unit against a wall on at least one side. This will provide additional support and stability.
- Ensure the floor is level where the unit is placed. Uneven floors can cause the unit to wobble.
- Consider adding weight to the bottom shelves. This will lower the center of gravity and improve overall stability.
- Secure the shelves inside the unit using the included screws and brackets. This will prevent the individual shelves from shifting.
- Place heavier items on the lower shelves and lighter items on the upper shelves to distribute the weight evenly.
Following these steps should help stabilize the KALLAX unit and prevent it from feeling wobbly when used as a room divider

Posted on Oct 15, 2022I'd like to know if the KALLAX shelf unit can be easily disassembled and reassembled, as I need to move it through a narrow doorway
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Oct 17, 2022The KALLAX shelf unit can be easily disassembled and reassembled to move it through a narrow doorway. The shelves and inserts can be removed, and the frame can be taken apart into smaller pieces. This makes it convenient to transport and reassemble in a new location. Just be sure to follow the instructions carefully when disassembling and reassembling the unit to ensure it is put back together correctly
