I'm planning to use the KALLAX shelf unit as a room divider, but I want to make sure it's stable and sturdy. Are there any specific installation requirements or recommendations for securing it to the floor or walls? Additionally, can I add more shelves or modify the existing ones if needed?

To ensure the KALLAX shelf unit is stable and sturdy when used as a room divider, it's recommended to secure it to the wall. This can be done by attaching the included wall anchoring kit to the back of the unit and securing it to the wall. This will help prevent the unit from tipping over.

Regarding modifying the shelves, the KALLAX is designed to be flexible and adaptable. You can easily add more shelves or adjust the existing ones to suit your needs. The unit comes with adjustable shelves, so you can move them up or down as required. You can also purchase additional KALLAX shelf inserts separately to create more storage space.

Just be mindful of the maximum load capacity of 29 lbs per shelf when adding or rearranging the shelves. Evenly distribute the weight to maintain the stability and integrity of the unit
