Answered on Apr 02, 2023The SAKARIAS Armchair cover is designed to be easily removable and replaceable, so you can use a different fabric or color if desired. There are a few key things to keep in mind when choosing a replacement cover:
The cover attaches to the chair frame using hook-and-loop fasteners, so the replacement fabric should be compatible with this attachment method. Avoid fabrics that are too thick or stiff, as they may not attach properly.
IKEA recommends choosing a cotton or cotton-blend fabric that is machine washable, just like the original KVILLSFORS cover. This will ensure the cover can be easily cleaned.

Posted on Nov 16, 2022I have a Sakarias armchair and the hook-and-loop fasteners that attach the cover are coming loose. Is there a way to reinforce or reattach them? Additionally, are the covers available separately if I want to replace it with a different design?

Answered on Nov 18, 2022To reinforce the hook-and-loop fasteners on the Sakarias armchair cover:
- Try applying a small amount of fabric glue or sewing machine adhesive to the back of the fasteners before reattaching them. This can help strengthen the bond.
- If the fasteners are severely worn, you may need to replace them. Carefully remove the old ones and sew on replacement hook-and-loop fastener strips.
As for replacing the cover, the Sakarias chair covers are available separately from IKEA. You can purchase replacement covers in different designs to change the look of your chair. Simply remove the old cover and attach the new one using the hook-and-loop fasteners
