Posted on Aug 19, 2023I recently purchased the Havberg armchair and ottoman, but I'm having trouble getting the ottoman to stay in place when the chair is swiveled. Is there something I can do to adjust or secure it so it doesn't keep sliding around?

Posted on Jul 24, 2023I'm having trouble getting the ottoman to stay in place when using it as a seat. The footstool keeps rolling away from me.
Is there a way to secure it or is this just a normal characteristic of the product?

Answered on Jul 26, 2023The HAVBERG ottoman is designed to be mobile and swivel freely, which can cause it to roll away when used as a seat. To prevent the ottoman from moving around, you can try the following:
1. Adjust the friction on the swivel mechanism. There may be a locking or friction adjustment on the bottom of the ottoman that you can tighten to reduce the swivel motion and keep it in place.
2. Place the ottoman against a wall or piece of furniture. This will limit the space it has to roll away and provide more stability when sitting on it.
3. Consider using a non-slip mat or rug underneath the ottoman. This can help create more friction and keep it from sliding around.
If these solutions don't work, the rolling motion may simply be an inherent characteristic of the HAVBERG ottoman design. In that case, you may need to consider using it primarily as a footrest rather than an additional seat
