With its swivel function and adjustable seat, you can easily find a working position that suits you and feels comfy. The chair is also easy to store when not in use since it has no armrests.
The practical and comfortable swivel function allows you to easily get up from the desk without moving the chair.
Generous padding in the seat and backrest makes this chair a great choice if you want to sit comfortably at the desk.
The safety casters have a pressure-sensitive brake mechanism that keeps the chair in place when you stand up, and releases automatically when you sit down.
Neat, compact and easy to place – even in small rooms. Complements LAGKAPTEN/MITTBACK desk in both size and style.
BLECKBERGET is inspired by traditional chairs from the 50’s and 60’s, but with a modern twist to suit today’s way of life and work. Nice to look at, comfortable to sit on and easy to use everywhere at home.

Posted on May 26, 2023I have a Bleckberget chair and I'm having some trouble with the casters locking up when I stand up from my desk.
Is there a way to clean or maintain the pressure-sensitive brake mechanism to ensure it continues to function properly?

Answered on May 28, 2023To troubleshoot the locking issue with the Bleckberget chair casters, you can try the following:
First, check if there is any debris or buildup around the caster wheels and the pressure-sensitive brake mechanism. Use a soft cloth or brush to gently clean the caster area, removing any dirt or dust that may be interfering with the braking function.
If the issue persists, you can try lubricating the caster mechanism. Apply a small amount of a silicone-based lubricant or a dry lubricant spray directly onto the caster swivel point and the brake mechanism. This can help ensure smooth operation and prevent the brakes from sticking.
Avoid using excessive force or disassembling the caster mechanism, as this may cause further damage. If the issue continues after cleaning and lubricating, the caster assembly may need to be replaced. Contact IKEA customer service for further assistance or replacement parts
