Posted on Aug 01, 2023I need help with assembling the Björkberget chair, specifically with attaching the seat to the base. The instructions are not clear and I'm having trouble getting it to fit properly. Can you provide any additional guidance or troubleshooting tips?

Answered on Aug 03, 2023Attaching the seat to the base on the BJÖRKBERGET swivel chair can be a bit tricky, but here are some tips that should help:
First, make sure you have all the necessary parts and hardware. The seat and base should fit together snugly, so check that there are no missing or damaged pieces.
When attaching the seat, start by aligning the holes on the underside of the seat with the posts on the base. Apply firm, even pressure to push the seat down until it clicks into place. You may need to wiggle it back and forth gently to get it to fully lock in.
If you're still having trouble getting a secure fit, double-check that the threads on the base posts are not damaged. You can also try applying a small amount of lubricant to the posts before inserting the seat.
Once the seat is attached, make sure to test the swivel function to ensure it's working properly. If it feels stuck or doesn't rotate smoothly, you may need to adjust the tension.
Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm happy to provide additional troubleshooting advice

Posted on Jul 23, 2023I have the BJÖRKBERGET swivel chair and I noticed that the seat is not very firm, it's a bit soft. Is this normal for this chair model? Should I expect it to be firmer or am I just unlucky with mine?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jul 25, 2023The softness of the seat on the BJÖRKBERGET swivel chair is normal for this model. The chair is designed with generous padding in the seat and backrest to provide a comfortable, cushioned sitting experience. This is an intentional feature, not an issue with your specific chair. The soft, padded seat is meant to make the chair comfortable for extended periods of use, such as at a desk or vanity. As long as the chair is functioning properly and you find it comfortable to sit in, the slightly soft seat is within the expected design specifications for the BJÖRKBERGET chair

Posted on May 12, 2023I love the design and functionality of this chair, but I'm concerned about the seat depth being a bit too shallow for my comfort. Can you confirm if there's any possibility to adjust the seat depth or is it fixed?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on May 14, 2023The seat depth on the BJÖRKBERGET swivel chair is fixed and cannot be adjusted. The product description states that the seat depth is 15 3/8" (39 cm), which may not be deep enough for your comfort. Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the seat depth on this particular chair model. If the fixed seat depth is a concern, you may want to consider a different IKEA chair option that offers more adjustability in the seat dimensions
