Posted on Aug 17, 2023I have a child who is almost 10 years old, but they are quite tall for their age and the maximum seat height of this chair seems to be too low for them. Is there any way I can adjust or extend the seat height further?

Answered on Aug 19, 2023Unfortunately, the LOBERGET / SIBBEN child's desk chair is not designed to be extended beyond the maximum seat height of 19 1/4 inches (49 cm). This chair is intended for younger children, and the height range is not suitable for a 10-year-old who is quite tall.
The chair's hydraulic mechanism has a limited adjustment range and cannot be modified to increase the maximum height. Attempting to force the chair beyond its designed limits could damage the mechanism and make the chair unsafe to use.
The best solution would be to consider a desk chair that is designed for older children or even adults. This will ensure your child has proper ergonomic support and can comfortably use the chair for homework and other activities. Investing in a chair with a wider height adjustment range would be a better long-term solution

Answered on Jul 29, 2023To adjust the height of the LOBERGET/SIBBEN child's desk chair:
1. Locate the lever or knob underneath the seat that controls the height adjustment.
2. While seated, pull up on the lever or turn the knob to unlock the height mechanism.
3. Gently raise or lower the seat to the desired height.
4. Release the lever or stop turning the knob to lock the seat in place at the new height.
Make sure to adjust the height so your child's feet can comfortably rest flat on the floor when seated. The seat should be high enough for their thighs to be parallel to the ground

Answered on Aug 28, 2022To adjust the height of the LOBERGET / SIBBEN child's desk chair, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the chair is not occupied and is in an upright position.
2. Locate the height adjustment lever, typically found on the underside of the seat.
3. While seated, pull the lever up to unlock the height mechanism.
4. Gently apply downward pressure on the seat while pulling the lever to lower the chair to the desired height.
5. Once the chair is at the desired height, release the lever to lock it in place.
If the mechanism feels stuck, try the following:
- Ensure there are no obstructions or debris preventing the lever from moving freely.
- Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the adjustment mechanism to help it move more smoothly.
