A step stool that makes it easier to reach things you store high up.

Can be folded to save space.

Solid wood is a durable natural material that you can sand and treat the surface as needed.

Beech is an even-grained, durable hardwood with high shock resistance. When exposed to sunlight, beech ages from a cream tone to a light rose brown color.

This stepladder has been tested against our strictest standards for stability, durability and safety to withstand everyday use in your home for years.

Do not paint the step stool with ordinary paint due to the risk of slipping. However, you can treat it with STOCKARYD oil to protect the surface and enhance the wood grain pattern.

It’s smart to store things high up ‒ but sometimes it’s difficult to reach them. This step ladder makes it easier to reach things high up in cabinets ‒ and it's also nice to look at.

I've had my BEKVÄM Stepladder for a few years now, and the top step is starting to creak when I use it. Is there any way to tighten or replace the step itself? Additionally, can you recommend any specific cleaning products for the beech wood surface that won't damage it?

To tighten the top step on your BEKVÄM Stepladder, you can try the following:

1. Locate the screws that attach the top step to the ladder frame. Tighten these screws using a screwdriver to secure the step in place.

2. If the screws are worn or stripped, you may need to replace them. Obtain replacement screws from IKEA that are the correct size and thread type.

3. As an alternative, you can also try applying a small amount of wood glue to the joint where the step meets the frame. This can help reinforce the connection and reduce creaking.

For cleaning the beech wood surface, I recommend using a mild, wood-safe cleaner. IKEA's STOCKARYD wood care oil is a good option, as it is designed specifically for treating and protecting IKEA's solid wood products. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasives, as they can damage the wood finish

I'm having trouble assembling the step ladder, specifically with attaching the steps to the side rails. The instructions seem unclear and I'm not sure what part goes where. Can you provide additional guidance or a video tutorial to help me complete the assembly?
