I recently purchased the POÄNG Rocking Chair and love the design and comfort it provides. However, I'm having some trouble with the rocking mechanism. The chair tends to rock too much or not enough depending on how I sit. Is there a way to adjust the tension of the springs or any other parts that might be causing this issue?

The rocking motion of the POÄNG chair can be adjusted to suit your preferences. There are a few steps you can try to get the rocking tension just right:

1. Check the floor surface. The rocking motion works best on a flat, level floor. If the floor is uneven, it can affect the rocking action.

2. Adjust the leg levelers. There are small levelers under each leg. Try adjusting them to ensure the chair is level and balanced on the floor.

3. Tighten the screws. Over time, the screws that hold the frame together can become loose, affecting the rocking motion. Use a screwdriver to tighten any loose screws.

4. Replace the rocking mechanism. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, the rocking mechanism itself may need to be replaced. This is a relatively simple repair that IKEA can assist with.
