Answered on May 10, 2023The SEFAST underframe of the KARLPETTER chair is made of metal. It is possible to replace the SEFAST underframe if it becomes damaged or worn out. The SEFAST underframe is designed to be compatible with other IKEA seat shells, such as the LIDÅS or SIGTRYGG, which can be purchased separately. This allows you to revitalize the chair's appearance by swapping out the seat shell if desired

Posted on Apr 11, 2023I'd like to replace the seat shell with a different color. Is it possible to swap out the seat shell without having to disassemble the entire chair?
If so, can you provide instructions on how to do it?
