Posted on Jun 19, 2023I have a DOMSTEN stool that I purchased in the past and it has become worn out. Can I purchase replacement legs or parts to fix/repair my stool?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jun 21, 2023Unfortunately, IKEA does not sell replacement parts for the DOMSTEN stool. As an IKEA classic, the entire stool is designed and manufactured as a single piece. If the stool has become worn out over time, the best option would be to purchase a new DOMSTEN stool. IKEA's policy is to sell complete products rather than individual replacement parts. Your best course of action is to visit your local IKEA store or check their website to purchase a replacement DOMSTEN stool in the desired color

Posted on Sep 28, 2022I have a few DOMSTEN stools and I'm thinking of using them as plant stands. However, the stools seem to be quite wobbly when stacked on top of each other. Is there a way to stabilize or secure them so they don't topple over?

Answered on Sep 30, 2022To stabilize the DOMSTEN stools when using them as plant stands, you can try the following:
1. Add non-slip pads or rubber feet to the bottom of each stool. This will help grip the surface and prevent the stools from sliding or wobbling.
2. Consider placing the stools on a flat, level surface. Uneven floors can contribute to the wobbly feeling.
3. You can also try interlocking the stools by aligning the legs and gently pressing them together. This can help create a more stable stack.
4. If the stools are still too unstable, you may want to consider securing them together using small L-brackets or other hardware. This will provide additional support and prevent the stack from tipping over.
The key is to ensure the surface is level and the stools are properly aligned and secured, either through friction or mechanical means. With a little adjustment, you should be able to use the DOMSTEN stools safely as plant stands
