Posted on May 06, 2023I've had my POÄNG armchair for several years now, and I'm noticing that the fabric on the seat cushion is starting to show signs of wear. Can I replace just the seat cushion with a new one in Skiftebo dark gray, or do I need to purchase a whole new armchair?

Answered on May 08, 2023You can replace just the seat cushion on your POÄNG armchair. The cushions are designed to be removable and replaceable, so you don't need to purchase a whole new armchair. Simply order a new Skiftebo dark gray seat cushion from IKEA and replace the worn one. This will allow you to refresh the look of your armchair without having to buy a completely new one

Posted on Feb 09, 2023I am having trouble removing the seat cushion from my Poang chair. Can you please provide instructions on how to do this?

Answered on Feb 11, 2023To remove the seat cushion from your POÄNG armchair, follow these steps:
1. Locate the velcro fasteners on the underside of the chair seat. There are typically 4-6 velcro strips that secure the cushion to the chair frame.
2. Gently pull apart the velcro strips to detach the cushion from the chair. You may need to work your fingers under the cushion edges to fully release it.
3. Once the velcro is undone, the cushion should lift off the chair frame easily. Be careful not to pull too hard to avoid damaging the velcro or cushion.
4. To re-attach the cushion, simply align it on the chair frame and press the velcro strips back together firmly to secure it in place.

Posted on Jan 08, 2023I love the design of this armchair and ottoman set! Can I request replacement cushions or covers if they get damaged? Are there any specific cleaning instructions for the Skiftebo fabric, as it seems quite prone to stains?
