Posted on May 18, 2023I am having trouble removing the seat cover from my POÄNG armchair. I tried to lift it off but it won't budge. Can you provide instructions on how to remove it?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on May 20, 2023To remove the seat cover on your POÄNG armchair:
1. Tilt the chair back to expose the underside of the seat.
2. Locate the small clips or fasteners that secure the cover to the frame. These are typically located around the perimeter of the seat.
3. Carefully release each clip or fastener by gently prying them open with your fingers or a flat tool. Be careful not to damage the clips.
4. Once all the clips are released, you should be able to lift the seat cover off the frame.
If you're still having trouble, make sure there are no additional screws or hidden attachments securing the cover. Gently work around the perimeter to fully release it. With a little patience, you should be able to remove the seat cover on your POÄNG armchair

Posted on Nov 05, 2022I love my Poäng armchair, but I'm having trouble removing the old stain that's on the fabric.
Is there any specific cleaning solution or method recommended by Ikea for stain removal?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Nov 07, 2022To remove stains from the Poäng armchair cushion, IKEA recommends using a mild soap and water solution. Gently blot the stain with a clean, damp cloth, being careful not to rub too hard, as this could spread the stain. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these could damage the fabric. If the stain persists, you can try a small amount of mild detergent diluted in water. Test the solution on a inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't discolor or damage the fabric. With some gentle care, you should be able to remove most stains from the Poäng cushion

Posted on Sep 01, 2022I've been using my Poäng armchair for a few years now, but I've started to notice that the stitching on the side of the cushion is coming undone. Is this covered under the 10-year limited warranty?
If so, what's the process for getting it repaired or replaced?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Sep 03, 2022The stitching issue on the side of the Poäng cushion is likely covered under the 10-year limited warranty. To get the cushion repaired or replaced, you will need to contact IKEA customer service. They will be able to provide you with the process for submitting a warranty claim. Generally, you will need to bring the item to an IKEA store where they can assess the damage and determine if a replacement is needed. As long as the issue is due to normal wear and tear and not misuse, IKEA should be able to provide a replacement cushion free of charge under the warranty terms. Just be sure to have your proof of purchase ready when you contact them
