To attach the backrest to the frame on the POÄNG rocking chair, follow these steps:

1. Locate the pre-drilled holes on the top of the frame where the backrest will attach.
2. Position the backrest so the mounting brackets align with the holes on the frame.

To adjust the rocking mechanism on your POÄNG rocking chair:

1. Locate the two bolts underneath the seat that connect the frame to the base. These are the adjustment points for the rocking motion.

2. Using a wrench or socket, turn the bolts clockwise to tighten the rocking mechanism and reduce the rocking motion. Turn the bolts counterclockwise to loosen the mechanism and increase the rocking motion.
