10-year Warranty. Read about the terms in the warranty brochure.
Suitable for business use.
This ergonomic office chair has lots of functions that allow you to easily adapt the chair to your body.
Height-adjustable seat allows you to adjust the height so that back and legs are at a 90° angle.
With automatic tilt tension, your body weight determines how much resistance the backrest offers. This counter-pressure helps you keep an active posture in your chair.
Synchronized tilt mechanism allows the chair to move with you. The backrest moves more than the seat when you lean back, so torso/hips open up. This improves circulation and keeps energy levels up.
As you recline, the synchronized tilt mechanism allows feet to stay on the floor while your gaze remains straight ahead. Your chest stretches without adding pressure on thighs, improving circulation.
Adjustable seat depth enables proper back support and even weight distribution across the seat cushion. This prevents circulation from being cut off at the knees and reduces knee pressure.
Backrest can be adjusted to 5 different heights to provide support in all the right places and helping your body to maintain a naturally good posture.
Adjustable lumbar support helps maintain the correct posture while sitting which reduces strain on muscles on your lower back.
Height and width adjustable armrests enable a relaxed position for arms and shoulders and reduce the risk of tension, fatigue and pain in the shoulders and neck.
Tilt lock allows you to adjust the tilt and lock it at 3 different positions, from low to upright.
A safety function locks the castors when no one is sitting in the chair and keeps it securely in place when you stand up.
The castors are designed to provide ease of movement and maneuverability on both carpeted and hard floors as well as on uneven surfaces.
This ergonomic office chair has many features to keep you comfy and focused, such as a synchronized tilt mechanism that allows your body to move more, which improves blood circulation. 10 year guarantee.

Posted on Jun 07, 2023I have a HATTEFJÄLL office chair with armrests, and I'm having trouble adjusting the tilt tension. Can you provide more information on how to adjust this feature? The instructions in the warranty brochure are unclear. Additionally, can I adjust the tilt lock function to allow for more flexibility when sitting at my desk?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jun 09, 2023To adjust the tilt tension on your HATTEFJÄLL office chair:
1. Locate the knob or lever under the seat that controls the tilt tension. It may be on the right or left side.
2. Turn the knob or lever clockwise to increase the tension, making it more difficult to lean back.
3. Turn the knob or lever counterclockwise to decrease the tension, making it easier to lean back.
Adjust the tension until you find the setting that provides the right amount of resistance and support for your preferred sitting position.
Regarding the tilt lock function, you can adjust this to allow for more flexibility. There is a lever or knob that allows you to lock the chair in an upright position or let it tilt freely. Unlock the tilt lock to enable the synchronized tilt mechanism and allow the chair to move with you as you recline.
Play around with the different adjustment features to find the optimal settings that provide you with comfort and support throughout the day

Posted on Oct 03, 2022I am having trouble adjusting the armrests to a comfortable position. The adjustment mechanism seems stiff and doesn't move smoothly.
Is there a trick or technique to loosen it up?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Oct 05, 2022The stiffness in the armrest adjustment mechanism is likely due to the mechanism being new or not used frequently. Here are some steps you can try to loosen it up:
1. Locate the adjustment levers or knobs on the underside of the armrests. These are typically used to adjust the height and width of the armrests.
2. Try moving the adjustment levers or knobs back and forth a few times to help loosen up the mechanism. Apply a bit of pressure, but don't force it.
3. If the mechanism still feels stiff, you can try spraying a small amount of a lightweight lubricant, such as silicone spray or white lithium grease, onto the adjustment points. This will help reduce friction and make the adjustments smoother.
4. After applying the lubricant, move the armrests through their full range of motion a few times to work the lubricant into the mechanism.
5. If the stiffness persists, you may need to consult the product manual or contact IKEA customer service for further assistance.
The key is to avoid forcing the adjustment, as this could damage the mechanism. With a little bit of gentle maneuvering and lubrication, the armrests should become easier to adjust to your desired position
