I would like to know if the ottoman is suitable for outdoor use, as I plan to place it in a sunroom with direct sunlight

The POÄNG Ottoman is not suitable for outdoor use or direct sunlight exposure. The cushion is made of polyester fabric, which can fade and degrade over time when exposed to UV rays from sunlight. Additionally, the layer-glued bentwood frame may warp or crack if left in direct sunlight and humid outdoor conditions for extended periods. The product is designed for indoor use only. It is recommended to keep the POÄNG Ottoman in a shaded, climate-controlled environment to ensure its longevity and maintain the quality of the materials

I've had this ottoman for a while, but the fabric is starting to peel off in some areas. Is there a specific cleaning method I can use to remove dirt and stains without damaging the Gunnared fabric?

To clean the Gunnared fabric on your POÄNG ottoman without damaging it, here are the steps I would recommend:

1. Vacuum the ottoman gently using the upholstery attachment to remove any loose dirt or debris.

2. Mix a mild, gentle detergent with warm water. Dip a clean, soft cloth into the solution and gently blot any stained areas. Avoid scrubbing, as this can damage the fabric.

3. For tougher stains, you can try using a small amount of white vinegar diluted in water. Test this on a discrete area first to ensure it doesn't discolor the fabric.

4. Once cleaned, use a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap or vinegar residue.

5. Allow the ottoman to air dry completely before use.

Avoid using any harsh chemicals or cleaners, as these could damage the Gunnared fabric. With proper, gentle cleaning, you should be able to extend the life of your POÄNG ottoman

I've noticed that the footstool is slightly uneven, it leans a bit to one side. Is there any way to adjust or fix this issue? I'd like to know if there's a solution before I decide whether to return it.

The uneven or leaning issue with the POÄNG Ottoman can typically be resolved by adjusting the legs. Here are the steps to fix this:

1. Locate the four adjustable legs on the underside of the ottoman.
2. Using a wrench or pliers, loosen the nuts on the legs that are causing the unevenness.
3. Adjust the height of the shorter leg(s) by turning them clockwise to raise them until the ottoman is level and stable.
4. Once level, tighten the nuts back up to secure the legs in place.

This simple adjustment should resolve the leaning problem and make the ottoman stable and even on the floor. If the issue persists after adjusting the legs, you may want to inspect the frame for any damage or deformities. But the adjustable legs are usually the fix for an uneven POÄNG Ottoman

I would like to ask how do I clean the Gunnared fabric of the ottoman? Is it machine washable or can I only use a damp cloth?

I love the design of this ottoman, but I'm having some issues with the tufted cushion coming undone after a few months of use. Is there any way to fix or re-tuft it? Or is it something that can be done by an IKEA technician?

The tufted design of the cushion is meant to give the POÄNG ottoman an elegant look and feel, but it can sometimes come undone over time with regular use. This is a common issue that can typically be fixed at home without needing an IKEA technician.

To re-tuft the cushion, you'll want to locate the tufting buttons underneath the cushion. Gently pull the cushion cover off and you should be able to see where the tufting buttons are secured. You can then use a needle and thread to re-secure any loose tufting buttons. Be careful not to pull the buttons too tight, as this could damage the cushion.

If the tufting continues to come undone, you may want to consider replacing the cushion entirely. IKEA does sell replacement cushions for the POÄNG ottoman that can easily be swapped out. This will give your ottoman a fresh, plush look and feel
