Posted on Sep 14, 2022What is the weight limit for this chair if it's tested up to 276 lb (125 kg)? Can I use it with a heavier person?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Sep 16, 2022The weight limit for the FJÄLLBERGET conference chair is 276 lb (125 kg). This chair has been tested up to this weight capacity, so using it with a heavier person would exceed the tested limit and is not recommended. The chair is designed and tested to safely support up to 276 lb (125 kg), so it's best to stay within that weight capacity for proper functionality and safety

Posted on Sep 07, 2022I need help with the Fjällberget conference chair. The casters seem to be stuck and won't move even when I apply pressure. Is there a trick to lubricating them or should I contact Ikea for assistance?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Sep 09, 2022The issue with the stuck casters on your FJÄLLBERGET conference chair can likely be resolved without needing to contact IKEA. Here are a few steps you can try:
1. Check if there is any debris or buildup on the casters that may be preventing them from rolling smoothly. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe down the casters and remove any dirt or dust.
2. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish to the caster wheels. This will help reduce friction and allow the casters to roll more freely.
3. If the casters are still stuck, you can try removing them from the chair base. Gently pry the caster out using a flathead screwdriver. Once removed, clean the caster and the socket it fits into, then re-insert the caster and test the movement.
4. As a last resort, you may need to replace the casters. Replacement casters are available from IKEA if the existing ones are damaged or worn out.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to get your FJÄLLBERGET conference chair casters moving smoothly again without the need to contact IKEA
