Answered on Aug 15, 2023To clean the brown beech frame and backrest of the SKANSNÄS chair, it's recommended to use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using any harsh cleaners, abrasives, or chemicals, as they can potentially damage the wood finish and cause discoloration. Instead, simply wipe down the surfaces with a lightly dampened cloth to remove any dust or light dirt. Be sure to dry the wood thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water stains. For more stubborn dirt or stains, you can use a mild wood soap or cleaner specifically designed for finished wood furniture. However, always test any cleaning product in an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't affect the color or finish. With proper, gentle cleaning, the beautiful natural grain and warm brown stain of the beech wood can be maintained

Posted on Apr 22, 2023I love the design and materials used in this chair! However, I'm having trouble with the assembly. The wedge dowels seem to be stuck and won't click into place. Are there any tips or tricks to make them fit properly?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Apr 24, 2023The wedge dowels can sometimes be tricky to get started, but here are a few tips that should help:
First, ensure the holes in the frame and backrest are fully aligned before trying to insert the dowels. It may help to gently tap the backrest into place with a rubber mallet to get the holes lined up perfectly.
Next, apply a small amount of wood glue or furniture assembly lubricant to the dowels before inserting them. This can help them slide in more smoothly.
When pushing the dowels in, apply firm, even pressure rather than trying to hammer them in. You may need to wiggle the dowel back and forth slightly as you push to get it started.
If a dowel still won't budge, try loosening the other dowels slightly, which can help relieve any tension. Avoid using excessive force, as this could damage the wood.
Take your time and be patient - with a little finesse, those wedge dowels should click satisfyingly into place. Let me know if you have any other questions
