The covers are sold separately, so you can easily swap out the existing cover if it becomes worn or soiled over time. To order a new cover, you'll need to check the IKEA website or visit your local IKEA store to see the available cover options that are compatible with the UPPLAND armchair model. Is it a simple zipper process or are there any specific steps to follow to ensure the cover comes off cleanly and can be machine washed safely?

Answered on Dec 22, 2022To remove the cover from the UPPLAND armchair:
The cover is removable and can be machine washed. It has a simple zipper process to take it off.
First, locate the zipper on the underside of the armchair. Slowly unzip the cover all the way around to fully detach it from the frame.
Be careful when removing the cover to avoid stretching or damaging the fabric. Gently pull the cover away from the frame, starting from one corner and working your way around.
Once the cover is removed, you can machine wash it following the care instructions. Make sure to zip up the cover before washing to prevent any damage during the cycle.
After washing, simply reattach the cover by aligning it with the frame and zipping it back up. Take your time to ensure a proper fit
