Posted on Jan 14, 2024I have a few issues with my Havsta cabinet. The soft-close mechanism on the doors has stopped working properly, and now they slam shut instead of closing softly. Is there a way to adjust or repair this feature?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jan 16, 2024To fix the soft-close mechanism on your HAVSTA cabinet doors, you can try the following:
1. Check the hinges: Ensure that the cabinet door hinges are properly aligned and tightened. Over time, the hinges can become loose, causing the door to slam shut.
2. Adjust the soft-close mechanism: Locate the soft-close mechanism, usually located on the door hinges or inside the cabinet frame. There may be an adjustment screw or lever that controls the closing speed. Gently turn or adjust this mechanism to slow down the door closing.
3. Replace the soft-close dampers: If the soft-close mechanism is damaged or worn out, you may need to replace the dampers. These are typically inexpensive and easy to find as replacement parts for the HAVSTA cabinet.
4. Clean and lubricate the mechanism: Dirt and debris can interfere with the soft-close function. Try cleaning the mechanism with a soft cloth and applying a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore the soft-close functionality of your HAVSTA cabinet doors

Posted on Jun 01, 2023I purchased the Havsta cabinet, but I noticed that it has some small scratches and marks on the surface. Is this considered normal for solid pine furniture? Can I request a replacement or repair?

Answered on Jun 03, 2023Small scratches and marks on the surface are considered normal for solid pine furniture like the HAVSTA cabinet. The natural variations in the wood grain and texture can sometimes result in minor imperfections. This is part of the rustic charm and character of solid pine.
As long as the structural integrity of the cabinet is not compromised, these small surface blemishes are within the expected quality standards for this product. You do not need to request a replacement or repair. With proper care and maintenance, the cabinet will continue to look great in your home over time
