Posted on Jan 23, 2024I am having trouble with the soft-close mechanism not working properly on one of my drawers. It seems to be jammed and won't close smoothly. How can I troubleshoot and fix this issue?

3. Damaged soft-close mechanism: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, the soft-close mechanism itself may be damaged and need replacement. You can contact IKEA for a replacement part.

1. First, fully open the drawer you're having trouble with.
2. Locate the soft-closing mechanism, which is typically a small lever or dial on the side of the drawer box.
3. Gently turn or adjust this mechanism clockwise to increase the closing force. This will make the drawer close more tightly.
4. Test the drawer and repeat the adjustment if needed, turning the mechanism a small amount at a time until the drawer stays closed properly.
5. Make sure not to over-tighten the mechanism, as this could damage it. The goal is to find the right balance of closing force.
