Posted on Aug 16, 2022I have a Billy bookcase and I'm experiencing an issue with the shelves. They seem to be slightly uneven, causing some of my books to fall over or not fit properly. Are there any adjustments I can make to level out the shelves?

Answered on Aug 18, 2022To level out the shelves on your BILLY/OXBERG bookcase, you can try the following adjustments:
1. Adjust the shelf pins: The shelves are supported by pins that fit into holes on the side panels. Try adjusting the shelf pins up or down slightly to level out the shelves.
2. Adjust the hinges: The doors on the BILLY/OXBERG bookcase have adjustable hinges. You can try adjusting the hinges horizontally and vertically to ensure the doors and shelves are aligned properly.
3. Check the wall mounting: Ensure the bookcase is securely mounted to the wall, as an uneven wall can cause the shelves to be uneven. Adjust the wall mounting if needed.
4. Add shims: If the shelves are still uneven, you can try placing small shims under the shelf pins to level them out.
Let me know if these adjustments help resolve the issue with your BILLY/OXBERG bookcase shelves
