Posted on Jan 01, 2023I am trying to assemble the Bestå shelf unit and I'm having trouble with one of the sides not fitting properly. The instructions say it should fit flush, but there is a gap about 1/8 inch between the side panel and the wall. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my assembly?

Answered on Jan 03, 2023The slight gap of about 1/8 inch between the side panel and the wall is normal for the BESTÅ shelf unit. This is expected and within the design tolerances. Make sure all the fittings and screws are properly tightened, but a small gap is common and does not indicate an issue with the assembly. The BESTÅ series is designed to accommodate minor variations in wall alignment. As long as the unit is stable and the doors/drawers are functioning properly, the small gap is not a problem and the assembly can be considered complete
