Answered on May 29, 2023The shelves in the BILLY / OXBERG bookcase are adjustable and removable. You can adjust the height of the shelves by moving the shelf pins to the desired position along the perforated holes in the sides of the bookcase. This allows you to customize the shelf spacing to fit your storage needs. You can also add more shelves if needed, as the bookcase comes with extra shelf pins that allow you to install additional shelves

Posted on Sep 18, 2022I've put my Billy bookcase together, but the glass doors are a bit tricky to adjust. How do I make sure they're properly aligned and secure?

Answered on Sep 20, 2022To properly align and secure the glass doors on your BILLY / OXBERG bookcase:
1. First, ensure the bookcase is level and standing upright. This will help the doors hang properly.
2. Locate the adjustable hinges on the doors. There are typically screws or knobs that allow you to adjust the doors horizontally and vertically.
3. Start by loosening the screws/knobs slightly on the hinges. This will allow you to move the door panel.
4. Gently push or pull the door panel to align it properly within the frame. Make sure the gaps on all sides are even.
5. Once aligned, tighten the screws/knobs back up on the hinges to secure the door in place.
6. Repeat this process for the other door if needed until both doors are properly aligned and secure.
Remember to make only minor adjustments at a time. This will ensure the doors operate smoothly and safely
