Posted on Sep 18, 2023I have a BESTÅ storage combination with doors and I'd like to know if it's possible to change the door handles from the default ones that come with it. Can I replace them with new handles or does it require any special tools or expertise?

Answered on Sep 20, 2023You can definitely replace the door handles on your BESTÅ storage combination. The default handles are designed to be easily removable and replaceable. All you'll need are the new handles you want to install and a screwdriver.
First, locate the screws that are holding the existing handles in place. Gently remove the screws and the handles will come off. Be careful not to damage the door fronts when removing the handles.
Next, align the new handles where you want them on the doors and secure them in place by screwing them in. Make sure the screws are tightened properly so the new handles are secure.

Is there a way to adjust or realign the doors so they shut smoothly?

Answered on Jul 25, 2023The doors on your BESTÅ storage unit can be adjusted to realign them and ensure they close smoothly. Here are the steps to adjust the doors:
1. First, locate the adjustable hinges on the back of the doors. These hinges allow you to adjust the doors horizontally and vertically.
2. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the hinges slightly. This will allow you to move the doors into the correct position.
3. Gently push or pull the door to align it properly with the cabinet frame. Make sure the gaps around the door are even.
4. Once the door is aligned, tighten the screws on the hinges to secure the door in place.
5. Repeat this process for any other doors that need adjusting.
