Posted on Oct 10, 2023I've assembled the cabinet, but I'm having trouble getting the glass shelves to fit snugly. Are there any tips on how to ensure they are properly aligned and secured?

Posted on Jul 04, 2023I love the idea of using this cabinet to display my vintage tea set collection! However, I'm concerned about the weight limit per shelf. Can you please confirm if it's safe to stack multiple shelves with items that weigh more than 9 lbs each?
And are there any additional stabilizing features or accessories available to support heavier items?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jul 06, 2023The weight limit of 9 lbs per shelf is intended to ensure the safety and stability of the cabinet. Exceeding this limit could potentially cause the shelves to sag or even collapse, putting your collection at risk.
To safely display heavier items, I would not recommend stacking multiple shelves with items over 9 lbs each. Instead, consider distributing the weight more evenly across the shelves. You could also look into adding the optional BRIMNES cabinet lighting, as this can provide additional support and stability.
Additionally, the two stationary wooden shelves at the bottom of the cabinet are designed to improve overall stability. You may want to place your heavier items on these lower shelves to take advantage of the extra support

Posted on Jul 08, 2022I want to put a lot of heavy objects on the shelves. Can I exceed the maximum weight capacity of 9 pounds per shelf?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jul 10, 2022I would not recommend exceeding the maximum weight capacity of 9 pounds per shelf on the BRIMNES glass-door cabinet. The shelves are designed to safely support up to 9 pounds each, and going beyond that could potentially cause the shelves to sag, crack, or even collapse, which could damage your items or even the cabinet itself. For the best and safest use of this product, it's important to follow the weight limits specified by IKEA
