BESTÅ TV bench with doors, white/Bergsviken beige, 70 7/8x16 1/2x15 "

A wall-mounted TV unit creates a clean, airy look and there are no legs that get in the way when you vacuum the floor.
It’s easy to keep the cords from your TV and other devices out of sight but close at hand, as there are several cord outlets at the back of the TV bench.
The cable outlet at the top lets cords run down smoothly into the TV bench.
The shelves are adjustable so you can customize your storage as needed.
You can choose to use either the soft-closing or push-open function. The push-opener lets you open the doors with just a light push, while the soft-closing hinges makes sure they close silently and softly.
Optimize and organize your BESTÅ storage with boxes and inserts that you like.

Posted on Dec 19, 2023I am having trouble closing the doors of my Bestå TV bench with doors, white/Bergsviken beige. They are not shutting properly and keep falling back open. Is there a trick to adjusting the soft-closing hinges or is there something else I can do to resolve this issue?

Answered on Dec 21, 2023The issue with the doors not closing properly on your BESTÅ TV bench is likely due to the soft-closing hinges needing some adjustment. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and fix this:
1. First, check that the doors are properly aligned. Gently push the doors closed and see if they are sitting flush in the frame. If not, you may need to adjust the hinges.
2. Locate the adjustment screws on the hinges. There are usually screws that allow you to fine-tune the positioning of the doors.
3. Using a screwdriver, make small adjustments to the screws, closing or opening the door slightly as needed until it sits flush and closes properly.
4. You can also try adjusting the tension of the soft-close mechanism. There may be a small dial or screw on the hinge that controls this. Increase the tension slightly to make the doors close more firmly.
With a bit of fine-tuning of the hinges and soft-close mechanism, you should be able to get your BESTÅ TV bench doors closing smoothly again. Let me know if you have any other questions

Posted on Nov 19, 2023I recently purchased the Bestå TV bench and I'm having trouble getting the doors to align properly when closed. The soft-closing function doesn't seem to be working as intended, and the doors are sticking or not closing smoothly. Is there a trick to adjusting the hinges or is this a manufacturing issue?

Answered on Nov 21, 2023The issue you're experiencing with the doors on your BESTÅ TV bench is likely due to the hinge adjustments. Here are the steps to properly adjust the hinges:
1. First, make sure all the hinges are properly installed and secured to the cabinet frame. Tighten any loose screws.
2. Next, use the adjustment screws on the hinges to fine-tune the door alignment. There are typically three adjustment points - one for side-to-side, one for up/down, and one for in/out.
3. Adjust the side-to-side screws first to get the doors aligned evenly across the cabinet opening.
4. Then use the up/down adjustment to level the doors.
5. Finally, use the in/out adjustment to ensure the doors are flush with the cabinet frame when closed.
Test the doors after each adjustment until you get the smooth, soft-closing action you expect. If you're still having issues, there may be a manufacturing defect that requires contacting IKEA for assistance. Let me know if you have any other questions
