Posted on Mar 22, 2024I recently purchased the BESTÅ shelf unit with doors and I'm having some issues with one of the shelves. The shelf seems to be slightly warped, causing it to sag in the middle. Is there a way to adjust or fix this issue without having to replace the entire unit?

Answered on Feb 28, 2024The issue with the door not opening on your BESTÅ shelf unit is likely due to the hinges. Check the following:
1. Ensure the hinges are properly attached to both the door and the frame. Over time, the screws can become loose, preventing the door from opening smoothly.
2. Inspect the hinges for any damage or obstructions. If the hinges are bent or the mechanism is stuck, you may need to replace them.
3. Check if the door is properly aligned. If the door is not sitting flush in the frame, the hinges may be binding, causing the door to stick.
To resolve the issue, try tightening the hinge screws or adjusting the door alignment. If the hinges are damaged, you may need to replace them. Refer to the IKEA assembly instructions for guidance on properly adjusting or replacing the hinges

Posted on Apr 09, 2023I am trying to assemble the Besta shelf unit with doors, but I am having trouble aligning the shelves. Can you provide more detailed instructions on how to properly align the shelves during assembly?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Apr 11, 2023To properly align the shelves during assembly of the BESTÅ shelf unit, follow these steps:
1. Start by ensuring all the shelves are level. Use a spirit level to check each shelf and adjust the shelf pins as needed to get the shelves perfectly horizontal.
2. When attaching the shelves, make sure to securely lock the shelf pins into the corresponding holes on the side panels. Push the shelf pins in firmly until you hear a click to ensure they are properly locked in place.
3. Double-check the alignment of the shelves after attaching each one. Make any necessary adjustments to the shelf pins to ensure the shelves are evenly spaced and perfectly level.
4. Once all shelves are in place, attach the doors following the instructions. Ensure the doors are properly aligned and can open and close smoothly.
