Posted on May 25, 2023I'm having some issues with the soft-closing function on my BESTÅ TV storage combination. Sometimes, when I close the drawer, it doesn't close all the way and remains slightly ajar. Is there a way to adjust or repair this mechanism?

Answered on May 27, 2023The soft-closing mechanism on the BESTÅ drawer can sometimes become misaligned or lose its effectiveness over time. To adjust or repair this:
1. First, check that the drawer is properly aligned within the frame. Ensure it is sliding in and out smoothly without any obstructions.
2. If the drawer is aligned properly, you may need to adjust the soft-closing mechanism itself. Locate the small adjustable screws or levers on the sides or back of the drawer that control the soft-close function.
3. Try gently tightening or loosening these adjustments in small increments to find the right tension for the soft-close to work effectively. Be careful not to overtighten.
4. If the mechanism is damaged or worn out, you may need to replace the soft-close hinges or dampers. Replacement parts are available from IKEA.
