I'm considering purchasing the BESTÅ shelf unit with doors in Hedeviken/dark brown stained oak veneer. However, I've noticed that there's a slight gap between the door and the frame. Is this normal? How can I fix it?

The slight gap between the door and the frame is a normal characteristic of the BESTÅ shelf unit with HEDEVIKEN doors. This gap allows for the natural expansion and contraction of the wood veneer material as humidity and temperature changes.

To minimize the appearance of the gap, you can try the following:

I'm planning to put the BESTÅ shelf unit in a small space and I want to make sure it fits perfectly. Can you tell me if the dimensions you provided are including or excluding the doors? Additionally, how much clearance do I need to leave around the unit for easy opening and closing of the doors?
